Doumen District, a district of Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, is located in the southwestern end of the Pearl River Delta, west of Zhuhai City, east of Zhongshan City, south of Jinwan District, and west and north of Jiangmen City. The jurisdiction covers an area of 674.8 square kilometers. As of November 2022, Doumen District had a resident population of approximately 630,000 people. As of June 2023, Doumen District has one street and five towns under its jurisdiction, with the district's people's government stationed at No. 139 Chaofu Road, Jing'an Town.
Before the Song Dynasty, the area around Doumen was called Huangzhiwei, and the whole area belonged to Xinhui County Chaojuli. In the 22nd year of Shaoxing (1152) of the Southern Song Dynasty, Xiangshan was established as a county, and the islands around Huangyangshan were assigned to Xiangshan County.In April 2001, Doumen County was abolished and established as a district; in December of the same year, Doumen District was officially listed and established as Doumen District, Zhuhai. As of October 2021, Doumen District has 1 street and 5 towns under its jurisdiction. The People's Government of the district is located at No. 139 Chaofu Road, Jingshi Town. Doumen District is a typical Lingnan water town with a deep Cantonese flavor. In Doumen District, there are water wedding, salty water song, Lianzhou Dragon Dance, Qianwu Piu Sai, Wushan Drum Cabinet, Dragon Boat Racing, and so on.
In 2023, Doumen District realized a gross regional product of 52.700 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 4.5%.
