Xuwen County, belonging to Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, is located in the southernmost part of mainland China, facing the Qiongzhou Strait in the south, facing Hainan Island across the sea, bordering the South China Sea in the east, the Beibu Gulf in the west, and bordering Leizhou City in the north.
