Jimei District, belonging to Xiamen City, Fujian Province, is located in the northwest of Xiamen City, Fujian Province, between latitude 24°25′~24°46′ north and longitude 117°57′~118°04′ east, with a subtropical oceanic monsoon climate characterized by long summers and continuous autumn and spring, with neither scorching heat nor severe winters, and with a total area of 275.79 square kilometers. As of the end of 2022, Jimei District had a resident population of 1,091,000 people. As of June 2023, Jimei District has four streets and two towns under its jurisdiction, with the district government stationed at 168 Cendong Road, Jimei Street.
Jimei district territory, the Shang dynasty belonged to Yangzhou land, July 6, 1987, renamed Jimei District. For the famous hometown of overseas Chinese, Jimei ancestors migrated overseas history can be traced back to the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasty, so far more than 60,000 overseas Chinese. It is the hometown of Mr. Chen Jiageng, the patriotic overseas Chinese leader, and the Chen Jiageng Life Story Exhibition Hall has become one of the "First National Patriotic Education Demonstration Bases" of the Central Propaganda Department. Rich in tourism resources, Xiamen is the first national "regional tourism demonstration area", has a national 5A-level scenic Chen Jiageng Memorial Resort, China's largest water Park Park, "wearing a hat wearing a suit" Jiageng complex, won the "Guinness World's Largest Horse Show". "Guinness World's Largest Circus Theater" certification Lingling Circus City, Xiamen Old Courtyard, Chengyi Science and Technology Discovery Center, Jiageng Theatre and a number of other city business cards.
In 2022, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Jimei District will be 95.658 billion yuan, an increase of 3.0% over the previous year at comparable prices.
