Wangjiang County, belonging to Anqing City, Anhui Province, is located in the southwest of Anhui Province, the north bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, southeast and Chizhou City, Dongzhi County, Jiangxi Province, Pengze County, across the river, southwest and Su Song County, total lake as a neighbor, the northwest pillows of the big and small Ming Mountain and Taihu County border, north of the Anhui River and the border with Huaining County. In the 18th year of the reign of Emperor Kaihuang (598), the county of Yixiang was changed to Wangjiang County, which was named "Wangjiang" because the area around the Baota River in the southeast of the county used to be the former course of the Yangtze River, and it was possible to climb the Pottinger Mountain in the city and have a panoramic view of the river, so the name was "Wangjiang". Wangjiang is rich in material resources and has a beautiful ecological environment, and is known as the land of fish and rice and the land of white clouds. The rivers and lakes in the territory are scattered, the Wuchang Lake with an area of 150,000 mu has excellent water quality and beautiful scenery, which is an ecological wetland reserve in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, and is the wintering habitat of swans, white cranes, storks, geese and other rare birds.
