Huayang Town, belonging to Wangjiang County, Anqing City, Anhui Province, is located in the combination of Wangjiang, Dongzhi, Pengze 3 counties, east of the Yangtze River, the golden waterway, south of Huayang River and Po Lake water system. The administrative area covers a total area of 143.24 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the registered population of Huayang Town was 117,017. In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), it was assigned to Wangjiang.In 1970, Huayang Township was restored to Huayang District.In February 1992, the suburb of Huayang Township, Baisha Township, and Huayang Street merged to form Huayang Township.In December 2004, Huayang Township and Leiyang Township merged to form Huayang Township.
