Huaining County, part of Anqing City, Anhui Province, is located in southwestern Anhui Province, on the north bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the lower reaches of the Anhui River, neighboring Yixiu District of Anqing City in the east, Dongzhi County of Chizhou City across the river in the southeast, Taihu County in the west, Qianshan City in the northwest, Wangjiang County in the south, and Tongcheng City across the river in the north, with a total area of 1,276 square kilometers.
