Beilun District, belonging to Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, is located in the eastern part of Zhejiang Province, the eastern part of Ningbo City, named after the deep-water port Beilun Port within its territory, with a land area of 597.76 square kilometers. The eastern part of the city is bordered by Putuo County. South Meishan Harbor ocean side and Zhoushan City, Putuo District, Yinzhou District junction, the west from the Yongjiang River to Xiangshan Harbor ocean side and Yinzhou District, the land boundary line surveyed a total length of 44 kilometers, the northern Jintang ocean side and the Dinghai District (Daxie Island administrative boundaries are still belonging to the Beilun District). Beilun District is one of the first pilot districts of Zhejiang High Quality Development and Construction of Common Wealth Demonstration Area.
In 2023, Beilun District realized a gross domestic product (GDP) of 272.92 billion yuan, an increase of 5.0% over the previous year at comparable prices.
