Panlong District, belonging to Kunming City, Yunnan Province, one of the five main urban areas of Kunming, is located in the northeastern part of the main urban area of Kunming, connected with Guandu District to the east and south, Songming and Fumin Counties to the north, Wuhua District to the west, and Xishan District to the southwest, with an area of 861.04 square kilometers, and a built-up area of 60.96 square kilometers of the main city.In 2019, Panlong District had jurisdiction over 12 street offices, namely, TuoDong, Gulou, DongHua, Union, Jinchen, QingYun , Longquan, Ziba, Songhua, Shuanglong, Dianyuan and Aziying 12 street offices, totaling 71 urban communities and 32 village committees. As of the end of 2022, the resident population of Panlong District was 1,012,700 people. Panlong District is named after the Panlong River, which runs through the whole area from north to south. In terms of sub-industry, the added value of primary industry is 648 million yuan, an increase of 1.8%; the added value of secondary industry is 21.142 billion yuan, a decrease of 8.1%; the added value of tertiary industry is 93.659 billion yuan, an increase of 9.3%.
