Purang County (English: PurangCounty), belongs to the Ali Region of Tibet, China. It is located in the southwestern part of Tibet Autonomous Region, the southern part of Ali Region, the canyon area on the southern side of the Himalayas and the tri-junction of China, India and Nepal. It is located between 80°27″-82°30″ East longitude and 30°00″-31°13″ North latitude. The total area of Pulan County is 13,190,000 square kilometers. The People's Government of the county is located in Jijiang Community, Pulan Township. Poulan County has 1 township and 2 townships: Poulan Township, Baga Township and Hall Township. As of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Pulan County was 12,242.On February 6, 2019, the People's Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region decided that Pulan County would withdraw from the poverty-stricken county.
