Ermudong Township, belonging to Shule County, Kashgar Region, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast part of Shule County, bordering with Alali Township in the east, Sethi Township in the south of Injisha County, Yafuquan Township and Yumai Township of Aktau County in the west, and Yafuquan Township in the north, and is 33 kilometers away from the city of Shule County, with a total area of 174 square kilometers.
In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), the area of Ermudong Township was under the jurisdiction of Beshigan District; in 1984, it was changed from Ermudong Commune to Ermudong Township. As of the end of 2018, the household population of Ermudong Township was 14,984.In 2019, there were 11 administrative villages under the jurisdiction of Ermudong Township, and the people's government was stationed in Yukak Ermudong Village.
