Xi County, anciently known as Xi Zhou, Linfen City, Shanxi Province, governed by the county, is located in southwestern Shanxi Province, the northwest edge of Linfen City, the southern foothills of the Luliang Mountains in western Jin, the typical Loess Plateau residual loess gully area, belongs to the temperate continental monsoon climate, adjoining six counties, with a total area of 1,413.22 square kilometers.
