Quwo County, belonging to Linfen City, Shanxi Province, is located in the south-central part of Shanxi Province, between latitude 35°33'-35°51'N and longitude 111°24'-111°37'E. It is bounded by Ta'er Mountain (Chongshan), Qiaoshan Kaiting Mountain and Xiangfen County in the north, Zijinshan Mountain (Jiangshan Mountain) and Jiangxian County of Yuncheng City in the south, bordering with Yicheng County in the east, separated from Fenhe River and Xiangfen County in the north-west, and adjoined with Houma City in the south-west, with a total area of 437.9 km2, and a total area of 4.9 km2.
