Zhashui County, part of Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the northwestern part of Shangluo City, bordering Shangzhou District and Shanyang County to the east, Zhen'an County to the south, Ningxia County to the west, and Chang'an District and Lantian County of Xi'an City to the north, with an area of 2,332 square kilometers. As of October 2022, Zhashui County has 1 street and 8 towns under its jurisdiction.At the end of 2021, Zhashui County had a resident population of 136,800 people. Zhashui County takes its name from ancient Zhashui. In summer, it belonged to Yongzhou. During the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Period, it belonged to Chu. In the forty-eighth year of Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1783), Xiaoyi Hall was set up, which belonged to Xi'an Prefecture of West Qiansha Road of Shaanxi Province. In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), it was renamed Zhashui County, under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner's Office of the Four Districts of Shaanxi Province.In December 1958, the Zhashui County system was abolished and incorporated into Zhen'an County.In September 1961, it was separated and re-established as Zhashui County.On July 19, 2019, Zhashui County was honored by the China Meteorological Administration with the title of "China's Natural Oxygen Bar". In 2021, Zhashui County realized a GDP of 9.727 billion yuan and a per capita disposable income of 18,625 yuan.
