Hambin District, belongs to Ankang City, Shaanxi Province. It is the residence of the CPC Ankang Municipal Committee, Ankang Municipal People's Government, Ankang Military Sub-district organs, and the political, economic, cultural and transportation information center of Ankang City. It is located in the southeastern part of Shaanxi Province, upstream of Han River. It is bordered by Xunyang City in the east, Hanyin County and Ziyang County in the west, Ningshan County and Zhen'an County in the north, and Pingli County and Langao County in the south, with a total area of 3,645.91 square kilometers.In 2021, Hambin District has a total household population of 1,026,100 people, and a resident population of 886,400 people (in 2020). In addition to the Han nationality, there are 23 ethnic minorities. As of October 2022, Hambin District has 4 streets and 24 towns under its jurisdiction. The district government is located at 38 Wuxing Street. Xicheng County was first established in the 13th year of King Huiwen's reign (312 BC).
