Halfway Town, belonging to Lanshan District, Linyi City, Shandong Province, is located in the northern part of Lanshan District, neighboring Liguan Town and Baishabu Town in the east, Zaoyuan Town in the south, Wanggou Town in the west, and Qingmao Town in Yinan County in the north, with an administrative area of 95.63 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Halfway Town had a household population of 75,643. In 1977, some villages were set aside from the 3 communes of Chashan, Ozhuang, and Liguan to form the Halfway Commune; on October 28, 1994, the township was abolished to set up Halfway Town; in the spring of 1995, the county-level Linyi City was abolished, and Halfway Town belonged to Lanshan District. As of June 2020, Halfway Town has 12 communities and 20 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town's people's government is located in Xincheng Community. In 2019, there are 530 industrial enterprises in Half-cheng Township, of which 55 are above scale, and there are 98 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with business area of more than 50 square meters.
