Lixia District, belonging to Jinan City, Shandong Province, is located in the eastern part of Jinan City, bordering Jinan High-tech Industrial Development Zone in the east, Lixicheng District in the north and south, and Shizhong District and Tianqiao District in the west and northwest. It lies between latitude 36°35′34″-36°42′30″ north and longitude 117°0′16″-117°10′24″ east, with a total area of 100.89 square kilometers. As of October 2022, there are 13 streets under the jurisdiction of Lixia District. According to the seventh population census, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Lixia District was 819,139 people. Lixia District attractions include Baotu Spring, Daming Lake, Thousand Buddha Mountain, Dragon Cave, Kaiyuan Temple, Huancheng Park and so on. The main colleges and universities are Shandong University, Shandong Normal University, Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qilu University of Technology, Shandong University of Political Science and Law, Shandong Arts College, Shandong Police College, Shandong University of Finance and Economics, Yanshan Campus. In 2023, Lixia District realized a gross domestic product (GDP) of 244.69 billion yuan, of which the added value of the secondary industry was 52.60 billion yuan and that of the tertiary industry was 192.09 billion yuan.
