Wucheng County, belonging to Dezhou City, Shandong Province, is located in the northwestern border of Shandong Province, the northwestern Lu Plain, the east bank of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, between latitude 37°03' and 37°23' north, longitude 115°51' and 116°17' east, with a total area of 748 square kilometers. Wucheng County belongs to the Asian warm-temperate monsoon zone, with continental climate, obvious changes in heat and cold, dryness and humidity, rain and heat at the same time, plenty of light, and four distinct seasons. As of 2018 Wucheng County has 1 street and 7 towns under its jurisdiction. The county government is located in Guangyun Street. As of the end of 2022, Wucheng County had a household population of 390,970. At the beginning of the Western Jin Dynasty, it followed the establishment of the Eastern Han Dynasty. In the middle of Taikang (about 284 years), the word "east" was removed and Wucheng County was renamed. In December 1958, Wucheng County was merged with Xazu County, which was subordinate to Liaocheng Prefecture, and in June 1961, Xazu and Wucheng were separated and restored to Dezhou Prefecture, to which Wucheng belonged. In Wucheng County, National Highway 105, De Shang First Class Highway, Zheng (Kou) Xia (Jin) Highway run through the north and south, and Provincial Highway 318 (Linyi - Wucheng Highway) crosses the east and west. In 2022, Wucheng County will realize a gross domestic product (GDP) of 20.36 billion yuan, an increase of 3.6% over the previous year at comparable prices.
