Funshan District, also known as Doucheng and Wuxin, belongs to Suining City, Sichuan Province, located in the central part of Sichuan Basin and the middle reaches of Fuling River, between latitude 30°10′50″~30°39′25″ north and longitude 105°4′22″~105°45′58″ east. It is adjacent to Tongnan District in the east, bordering Daying County in the west, Anju District in the south, Pengxi County in the north, and Chengdu and Chongqing into an equidistant triangle, with a total area of 616 square kilometers. As of the end of 2022, the resident population of Funshan District was 841,000 people. As of June 2023, Funasan District has 14 streets, 9 towns and 1 township under the jurisdiction of Funasan District, with the district people's government stationed at No. 55, Jiahe East Road, Jiefu Road Street.
Funashan District has a long history, the Eastern Han Dynasty Jian'an twenty-five years (220), set Deyang County. Eastern Jin Yonghe three years (347 years), set Suining County. It has been the county, prefecture, state, county and special office, known as "Dongchuan Huyi", "Chuanzhong town" and "small Chengdu". 1950 January, Suining County was set up, and then belonged to Suining Sub-district, Suining Sub-area, Suining District, Suining District, and Suining District. In January 1950, Suining County was set up, and later came under Suining Sub-district, Suining Prefecture, Mianyang Prefecture and Mianyang District. 1985, Suining County was changed to Suining City Central District. 2003, Suining City Central District was abolished with the approval of the State Council, and Funshan District and Anju District were set up.
Funshan District is located in the heart of Chengdu-Chongqing, is an important sub-comprehensive transportation hub in Sichuan, the country's "One Belt, One Road" important corridor, an important node city of the national logistics, built 3 to 7 lines of railroads and 1 ring of 8 shot highway, Yu Cheng Sui, Sui-Cheng Mian two traffic circle intersects here, the formation of land and water, land, air and land, the integration of modern three-dimensional Transportation system. It has nurtured a number of famous scholars such as Xishu, a university scholar in the Ming Dynasty, Zhang Penghe, a famous prime minister in the Qing Dynasty, and Jing Yinyu, a translator in modern times.
In 2022, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Funashan District will be 44.694 billion yuan, an increase of 4.3% over the previous year at comparable prices.
