Yangchang Township, belonging to Dangling County, Meishan City, Sichuan Province, is located in the southern part of Dangling County, connected with Dongpo District, Meishan City in the east, adjacent to Jiejiang County, Leshan City in the south, Hongya County, Meishan City in the west, and Qile Township and Renmei Township in the north, with an area of 83.24 square kilometers.
During the Song Dynasty, it belonged to Jatou Township; in November 1992, the township was changed to Yangchang Township; in May 2005, Hechang Township was merged into Yangchang Township.In 2019, the administrative area belonging to Lion Village of Yangchang Township was assigned to the jurisdiction of Qile Township. As of the end of 2019, Yangchang Township had a total household population of 29,493. As of June 2020, Yangchang Township has 2 communities and 6 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
