Wanzai County, belonging to Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, is located between latitude 27°59′37″~28°27′48″ north and longitude 113°59′13″~114°36′11″ east, belonging to the same eight eastern districts as Beijing, but the average sunrise moment is 22 minutes later than Beijing. It is located in the northwest border of Jiangxi Province, upstream of the Jinjiang River and north of the Peak Mountain, neighboring Shanggao County and Yifeng County to the east, Yuanzhou District to the south, Liuyang City in Hunan Province to the west, and Tonggu County to the north. As of the end of 2022, the resident population of Wanzai County was 488,403. The territory of Wanzai County is 61 kilometers long from east to west and 52 kilometers wide from north to south, with a total area of 1,719.63 square kilometers, of which the urban area is 10.6 square kilometers.
