De'an County, belonging to Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the north of Jiangxi Province, south of Jiujiang City, east of Gongqingcheng City, south of Yongxiu County, west of Wuning County, north of Ruichang City, Chaisang District, the county has a total area of 863 square kilometers. As of the end of 2018, De'an County has 8 townships, 5 towns, 1 state forest farm, 1 horticultural farm, 81 administrative villages, 12 communities, and 1 neighborhood committee. As of November 2020, the resident population of De'an County was 167,000 people.
In the first year of the Qianzhen year (927) of Southern Wu, the Putang field was elevated to De'an County, and De'an was first established as a county. The Beijing-Kowloon Railway, Changjiu Intercity Railway, Fuyin Expressway, National Highway 105 and National Highway 306 pass through Cheqiao Town in the northwest. Fuyin Expressway connects De'an County with two fields and a harbor. Debai Highway and Linbai Highway run through the city and countryside.
In 2022, De'an County realizes a gross regional product of 18.95 billion yuan, an increase of 1.61 billion yuan over 2021, an increase of 5.7% over 2021. Among them: the added value of primary industry is 1.16 billion yuan, an increase of 4.6% from 2021; the added value of secondary industry is 11.65 billion yuan, an increase of 5.9% from 2021; the added value of tertiary industry is 6.14 billion yuan, an increase of 5.5% from 2021.
