Xinjian District, subordinate to Nanchang City of Jiangxi Province, is located in the northwest of the center of Nanchang City, which is a "thousand-year old town" with a rich cultural heritage and enjoys the name of "the land of fish and rice". It is bordered by Gan River in the east, Xishan Mountain Range in the west, Poyang Lake in the north and Fengcheng City and Ga'an City in the south. The district covers an area of 2,121.1 square kilometers, with 15 townships and streets and 1 economic development zone under its jurisdiction.At the end of 2022, the total registered population of Xinjian District was 555,300 people. Xinjian District is located in the provincial capital of Nanchang city westward main expansion area, Xinjian District People's Government seat Changzhu Street and the main city of Nanchang across the river, with the advancement of the development pattern of Nanchang City, "both sides of the river" and the construction of Nanchang City Honggutan District, Xinjian District has become a new urban area of Nanchang City. In 2022, Xinjian District realized a GDP of 40.774 billion yuan, an increase of 3.3% over 2021 at comparable prices. Among them, the added value of primary industry is 4.847 billion yuan, an increase of 3.3%; the added value of secondary industry is 18.605 billion yuan, an increase of 3.8%; the added value of tertiary industry is 17.322 billion yuan, an increase of 2.6%.
