The Nanchang Economic and Technological Development Zone, abbreviated as Nanchang ETDZ, was established in 1992 as a national-level economic and technological development zone approved by the State Council. The zone covers a total area of 158 square kilometers and has a permanent resident population of 317,100.The Development Zone is situated on the banks of the beautiful Gan River, separated from the bustling old city by just a river and integrated with Nanchang’s new administrative center. Four bridges—the New Bayi Bridge, Nanchang Bridge, Gan River Bridge, and Shengmi Bridge—now firmly connect the new and old city areas.
