Kuancheng District, a municipal district of Changchun City, Jilin Province, is located at latitude 43°53′39″-44°15′38″ north and longitude 124°59′39″-125°35′21″ east. It borders Erdao District, Changchun Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Jiutai District in the east; Green Park District and Nong'an County in the west; Chaoyang District and Nanguan District in the south; and Changchun New District and Dewei and Nong'an County in the north. As of 2020, Kuancheng District has a total area of 900.48 square kilometers, the actual area under the jurisdiction of the district (excluding foreign counties (cities), development zones, the part of the escrow) is 166.95 square kilometers, of which 29.39 square kilometers of urban area. The district has 11 streets, 5 towns and 1 township, and manages 2 provincial-level development zones. According to the seventh census data, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Kuancheng District was 669,148 people. In December 2018, Kuangcheng District was recognized by the Ministry of Civil Affairs as the third batch of national experimental areas for community governance and service innovation. In 2021, the gross regional product of Kuangcheng District was 33.64 billion yuan, an increase of 6.5% over the previous year. The added value of the primary industry was 130 million yuan, the added value of the secondary industry was 10.51 billion yuan; the added value of the tertiary industry was 23.00 billion yuan, and the proportion of the three industries was 0.4%:31.2%:68.4% respectively.
