Dewei City, Jilin Province, county-level city, by Changchun City, is located in the north-central Jilin Province, Songliao Plain hinterland, east of the Songhua River and Fuyu City, Yushu City; southeast of the Qing Dynasty Liubian border, south-central Mukaihe border with Jiutai District, southwest of the Changchun New District connected to the west with the Nong'an County border, the northwest across the Yitong River, the Yima River, and the County of Nong'an, with an area of 3,322.24 square kilometers, and the city has a total area of 3,322.24 square meters. It is an important node city on the Beijing-Harbin Railway. As of August 2022, Dewei has 4 streets, 12 towns and 4 villages under its jurisdiction. According to the seventh census, as of November 1, 2020, the resident population of Dewei was 691,550 people. Dewei has a long history and is anciently the oldest Sushin settlement in the Northeast. In the fifty-sixth year of the Qianlong Emperor of the Qing Dynasty (1791), the territory was under the jurisdiction of Changchun Hall, and on July 6, 1994, with the approval of the State Council, Dewei was abolished as a county and established as a city. Dewei City is a north temperate continental monsoon semi-humid climate zone, the territory of the river belongs to the Songhua River system, the terrain is tilted from southwest to northeast, the terrain is undulating. It is a national-level advanced ecological demonstration city and a Jilin provincial-level sanitary city. In 2021, the gross regional product of Dewei City was 26.75 billion yuan, an increase of 8.9% over the previous year at constant prices. Among them, the added value of primary industry is 8.65 billion yuan, the added value of secondary industry is 4.27 billion yuan; the added value of tertiary industry is 13.83 billion yuan, and the proportion of three industries is 32.3:16.0:51.7.
