Chaoyang District is part of Changchun City, Jilin Province. Located in the south-central part of Changchun's central city, it is the center of Changchun's science and technology, culture and commerce. As of August 2020, Chaoyang District consists of 9 streets and 52 communities, namely Chongqing, Yongchang, Qinghe, Guilin, Qianjin, Nanhu, Hongqi, Huxi, and Fufeng, 2 towns and 24 villages, Yongchun and Leshan, as well as a provincial-level development zone, Changchun Chaoyang Economic Development Zone. Chaoyang District covers an area of 237 square kilometers (of which the built-up area is 37.78 square kilometers). The area is 237 square kilometers. According to the seventh population census, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Chaoyang District was 614,021 people. In December 2018, Chaoyang District was recognized by the Ministry of Civil Affairs as the third batch of national experimental zones for community governance and service innovation. In 2020, Chaoyang District's gross regional product will realize 72.75 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.7%.
