Taonan City is subordinate to Baicheng City of Jilin Province, located in the northwestern end of Jilin Province and the southwestern part of Baicheng City. The east is adjacent to Da'an city, the south is adjacent to Tongyu county, the west is adjacent to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Tuchuan county, the north is connected with the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region horqin right wing front flag, the northeast and the white city Taobei district border.
