Fancheng District, belonging to Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, is located in the northwestern part of Hubei Province, in the middle reaches of the Han River, with geographic coordinates of 111°45′-113°47′ E, 31°13′-32°35′ N. Fancheng District borders Xiangzhou District to the east and the north, Xiangcheng District to the south on the boundary of the Hanjiang River, and Gucheng County and Laohukou City to the west. Fancheng District is the center of Xiangyang, the city's economic, transportation, information and logistics center, known as the "South Ship and North Horse, seven provinces thoroughfare". The district has 8 streets and 2 towns under its jurisdiction, with an administrative area of 566 square kilometers. As of the end of 2022, Fancheng District household population of 605,800 people.
