Shangshui County, part of Zhoukou City, Henan Province, is located in the southeastern part of Henan Province and the southwestern part of Zhoukou City, neighboring Zhaoling District in the west, Shangcai County in the south, Xiangcheng City in the east, Chuanhui District in the north, and Xihua and Huaiyang Districts in the northwest and northeast, across the Shaxi River.
