Mian (miǎn) Chi County, belonging to Sanmenxia City in Henan Province, is located in the northwestern part of Henan Province, bordering on the Yellow River in the north, with Qiaqu, Xiaxian and Pinglu in Shanxi Province across the river, connected to Luoning and Yiyang in the south, bordering on Yima and Xin'an in the east, and bordering on Bannan and Shaanzhou districts in the west. Is known as the origin of human ancestors and the world-famous Yangshao culture discovery. Its geographical coordinates lie between 111°33′ and 112°01′ east longitude and 34°36′ and 35°05′ north latitude, and it has a temperate monsoon climate. Mianchi County is 43.5 kilometers wide from east to west and 52.8 kilometers long from north to south, with a total area of 1,368 square kilometers and a total population of 358,900 (2017). The county has six towns and six townships under its jurisdiction. The county people's government is located in Chengguan Town, 190 kilometers from the provincial capital of Zhengzhou and 300 kilometers from the ancient capital of Xi'an. What's more, Mianchi County is a county of expanded economic management in Henan Province, a key county for opening up to the outside world, and a key site for the gradient transfer of processing trade. It is located at the western end of the Zhengluo Industrial Corridor, is an important energy, metallurgy, building materials, and refractory base in Henan Province, and is one of the second batch of counties (districts) that have reached the standard for the construction of a water-saving society. According to the seventh population census, as of November 1, 2020, there were 310,130 permanent residents in Mianchi County. In 2022, the gross domestic product of Mianchi County will amount to 25.45 billion yuan, an increase of 5.2% over the previous year, the second highest growth rate in the city, and a growth rate higher than that of the whole country, the province and the city by 1.2, 0.1 and 0.6 percentage points respectively. Among them: the primary industry realized a total output value of 2.33 billion yuan, an increase of 5.2 per cent over the previous year and the first in the city in terms of growth rate; the secondary industry realized a total output value of 12.98 billion yuan, an increase of 7.1 per cent over the previous year and the fifth in the city in terms of growth rate; and the tertiary industry realized a total output value of 10.14 billion yuan, an increase of 3.0 per cent over the previous year and the second in the city in terms of growth rate.
