Suixian County, belongs to Shangqiu City, Henan Province. It is located in the east-central part of Henan Province, west of Shangqiu City. It is adjacent to Ningling County in the east, Qixian County in the west, Minquan County in the north, and Zhecheng County and Taikang County in the south. The total area is 926 square kilometers.In 2021, Suixian had a resident population of 712,200. As of October 2022, Suo County has 8 towns, 10 townships and 2 streets under its jurisdiction. The county government is located in Fengcheng Street. Suo County was named after the ancient Suo water, and was known as Xiangyi, Gongzhou and Suozhou in ancient times. In Qin, Xiangyi County was set up and belonged to Dang County. In July of 16th year of the Republic of China (July 1927), part of Qixian County and Suizhou County were analyzed and Minquan County was set up.In 1997, Shangqiu area was abolished and prefecture-level Shangqiu City was set up, and Suizhou County belonged to Shangqiu City.On May 9, 2019, the People's Government of Henan Province approved the withdrawal of Suizhou County from the sequence of poverty-stricken counties. In 2021, the gross regional product of Suixian County amounted to 24.708 billion yuan, an increase of 4.2% over the previous year. Among them, the added value of primary industry is 6.243 billion yuan, the added value of secondary industry is 8.909 billion yuan; the added value of tertiary industry is 9.556 billion yuan, and the structure of three industries is 25.3:36.1:38.6.
