Xinye County, belonging to Nanyang City, Henan Province, is located in the southwest gateway to the Central Plains Economic Zone, the junction of Henan and Hubei provinces, and the center of Nanyang Basin. It lies between longitude 112°12'44″~112°35'42″E and latitude 32°19'30″~32°49'08 " between. The total area of the county is 1062 square kilometers. Xinye belongs to the northern subtropical region, with obvious continental monsoon climate characteristics, warm and humid, four distinct seasons, and abundant light, heat and water resources. As of October 2021, Xinye County has 8 towns, 5 townships and 2 streets under its jurisdiction, with the county government stationed in Hancheng Street. According to the seventh census data, as of zero hour on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Xinye County was 602,827 people.
Xinye County has a long history, as early as in the late Neolithic period, the ancestors have been here to labor and produce, and flourish. In the early years of the Western Han Dynasty, Xinye County was established and belonged to Nanyang County, and in 1968, it belonged to Nanyang District until now. The Erguang highway, provincial highway 103, 244, 335 lines intersect in the territory.
