Chanshuihe Huiyuan District, belongs to Luoyang City, Henan Province. It is one of the downtown areas of Luoyang City, located in the eastern part of Luoyang City, with the geographical coordinates of 112°28′-112°30′E, 34°40′-34°42′N, bordering Luolong District in the east and Old Town District in the west, depending on Mount Mang in the north and bordering on the Luoyang River in the south, with the east-west length of 6.55 kilometers and the north-south width of 7.75 kilometers, with a total area of 41.67 square kilometers.
The Chanshui River Hui District of Luoyang was established on November 15, 1957, named after the ancient Chanshui River running through it and the relative concentration of Hui people, is one of the five minority city districts in China, and is the linkage development area of Luoyang Pilot Free Trade Zone of China (Henan). As of 2011, Chanshui River Hui District has 1 Hui township, 7 streets, and 30 communities; there are 22 ethnic groups including Hui, Han, Manchu, and Mongolian. According to the seventh census data, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Chanshuihe Hui District was 222,833 people.
