Daiyang County, part of Luohe City, Henan Province, is located in the south-central part of Henan Province, centered at about 113.5°E longitude and 33.2°N latitude. The total area is 773.98 square kilometers. Maoyang has a temperate monsoon continental climate. As of October 2021, Maoyang County has 10 towns and 4 townships under its jurisdiction. The county people's government is located in Maizuan Town. As of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Maoyang County was 447,100 people. Maiyang was called Maiyang by Xia Yu because the county was located on the Yang of Mai Shui (also known as River in Henan and Chunshui). During the Qin Dynasty, Maoyang County was established, and in February 1986, it was attached to Luohe City.
