Dongfeng Township, belonging to Longan District, Anyang City, Henan Province, is located in the northwestern part of Longan District, connected with Taihang Subdistrict Street in the east, bordering with Matoujian Township in the south, adjoining Longquan Township and Quigou Township of Anyang County in the west, and bordering with Xijiao Township of Yindu District in the north, with an area of 37.48 square kilometers, and a household population of 57,858 as of the end of 2018. In February 1959, the jurisdiction was transferred from Anyang County to Anyang City, and belonged to Dongfeng Commune.In June 1962, it was renamed Xiciao District.In July 1969, Xiciao District was divided into 2 communes, Xiciao and Dongfeng.In December 1983, Dongfeng Township was established, and belonged to the suburb.In 2003, the suburb was withdrawn, and transferred to Long'an District. As of June 2020, Dongfeng Township has 33 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. In 2018, Dongfeng Township has 142 industrial enterprises, of which 10 are above scale, and 33 general stores or supermarkets with business area of more than 50 square meters.
