Long'an District, belonging to Anyang City, Henan Province, is located in the southwestern part of the downtown area of Anyang City, centered at about 114°30' east longitude and 36°08' north latitude. It is a new administrative district reorganized on the basis of the former suburban district, with a total area of 366 square kilometers. Longan District is located in the northern warm temperate zone and has a continental climate with four distinct seasons and suitable water temperature. As of 2017, Long'an District has 2 townships, 3 towns and 6 streets under its jurisdiction. The district government is located in the south section of Meidong Road.In 2019, Long'an District had a total population of 270,100 people. Longan District was the fourth district of Anyang City in the early years of the founding of the country, and was changed to a suburb in 1954.When the division of Anyang City was adjusted at the beginning of 2003, Longan District was newly formed on the basis of the original suburb. There are 107 national highways passing through the district, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and Shiwu High-speed Railway in the north and south, and Anlin Railway in the east and west. There is the national key cultural relics protection unit Yinxu. In 2020, the gross regional product of Long'an District will complete 16.6 billion yuan, an increase of 2.7%; the value-added of industry above designated size will increase by 3.1%; fixed asset investment will increase by 32.5%; the actual general public budget revenue will complete 84,258,000 yuan, an increase of 5.1%.
