Kuancheng Manchu Autonomous County, autonomous county under the jurisdiction of Chengde City, Hebei Province, named after "Yuan set up the Kuanhe stage, Ming built the Kuanhe City", founded in 1963, Kuancheng Manchu Autonomous County was established in 1989, is located in northeastern Hebei Province, southeastern Chengde City, east of the city of Lingyuan, Liaoning Province, Hebei Province, Qinhuangdao City, Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County bordering the west of Xinglong County neighbors, north of Pingquan City and Chengde County connected to the south across the Great Wall and Tangshan City neighboring. Xinglong County, neighboring with Pingquan City and Chengde County in the north, and Tangshan City across the Great Wall in the south. The county covers an area of 1,933 square kilometers. The county has 10 towns and 8 townships under its jurisdiction. As of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the county's resident population was 240,600 (seventh census).
Kuancheng Manzu Autonomous County has four major scenic spots in the "Eight Scenic Spots Outside the Mouth" of the Qing Dynasty, namely, the snow-covered mountains, the yellow cliffs of the Wanta, the Dokugu Xianqiao, and the stacked brocade of the fish scales. In 2013, Kuancheng Manchu Autonomous County was recognized as the advanced county of economic development in Hebei Province, and is known as the "Hometown of Chinese Chestnut" and "Hometown of Hebei Mulberry Silkworm". In July 2020, the National Sanitation Association recognized Kuancheng as a national sanitary county in 2019.In March 2021, it was awarded as an advanced county (city and district) for the 2020 Hebei Village Cleaning Action.
In 2020, the GDP of Kuancheng Manzu Autonomous County realized 15.71 billion yuan, an increase of 0.6% over the previous year.
