Jingxiu District, belonging to Baoding City, Hebei Province, is the seat of Baoding Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, the city's political center. Located in the central part of Baoding city, it borders Lianchi District in the east, Mancheng District in the west and north, and Qingyuan District in the south, with a total area of 122 square kilometers. As of November 1, 2020, Jingxiu District has a resident population of 522,813 people.
The name Jingxiu District originated from one of the eight historical Baoding scenic spots, "Wolf Peak Jiexiu", hence the name.In December 1959, Baoding Lu Xi District was set up, and in July 1961, a new downtown area was established.In 2015, the new downtown area was renamed Jingxiu District. As of June 2023, Baoding Jingxiu District has five streets, two towns and three townships under its jurisdiction. There are a total of 79 communities and 71 administrative villages, and the district government is located at 318 Wusi West Road, Pioneer Street.
In 2022, the gross regional product of Jingxiu District was 41.09 billion yuan, an increase of 5.1% year-on-year; fixed asset investment was 13.33 billion yuan, an increase of 12.7% year-on-year.
