Nanhe District, ancient name and Yang, Jiahe, belonging to Xingtai City, Hebei Province, is located in the east of Xingtai City, located in the hinterland of North China Plain, with a total area of 405 square kilometers. Nanhe district belongs to the temperate monsoon climate, with continental monsoon significant and four distinct seasons. The People's Government of the district is located at No. 285, Heyang Street, Heyang Town. As of October 2021, Nanhe District has 5 towns, 3 townships and 1 provincial economic development zone under its jurisdiction. According to the seventh census data, as of November 1, 2020, the resident population of Nanhe District was 350,384 people.
Nanhe District, formerly known as Nanhe County, was first established in the Western Han Dynasty, and after the Sui and Tang dynasties, it was one of the nine counties in Xingzhou. In June 2020, the State Council approved and agreed to abolish Nanhe County and establish Nanhe District of Xingtai City. Nanhe District has a long history, known as "the hometown of Guanyin, Song Jing hometown". It is in the "well" shaped ring formed by Beijing-Shenzhen, Beijing-Shanghai, Xingheng, Xinglin Expressway, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Beijing-Guangzhou High-speed Railway and Hand-Huangshan Railway running through the east, west, north and south, and there are Han Tomb Groups, Beiqi Statue Monument, White Bird Nunnery and other attractions in the area.
