Shibuxian, belonging to Handan City, Hebei Province, is located in the eastern foothills of the Taihang Mountains, southwestern Hebei Province, the western part of Handan City, Jin, Hebei and Henan provinces, backed by the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the male living in the Central Plains, is the linkage between Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the Central Plains region is an important hub. The terrain is slowly tilted from northwest to southeast, with a warm temperate semi-humid continental monsoon climate; it covers an area of 1,509 square kilometers, with 1 street, 9 towns and 8 townships under its jurisdiction. According to the seventh census data, as of zero hour on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Shibuxian County is 379,559 people.
Shibuxian is an old revolutionary area and a red holy land. Shibuxian County was established in 206 BC (the first year of Liu Bang of Han Dynasty), and was named because of Shibuishui. Shibuxian has convenient transportation conditions, with the Hand Chang Railway and Yang Suo Railway passing through the territory. By the end of 2018 the number of cultural relics protection units in the territory amounted to 111, of which 6 are at the national level, 15 at the provincial level, 28 at the municipal level, and 62 at the county level; there is one 5A-level scenic spot and two 4A-level scenic spots.
In 2021, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Shibuxian County completed 20.39 billion yuan.
