Nandan County is located in the northwest of Hechi City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is crossed by Qian-Gui Railway, 210 National Highway, Liuhe Expressway and Hongshui River. It has 8 towns and 3 townships under its jurisdiction, with the county people's government stationed in Chengguan Town, and an administrative area of 3905 square kilometers. Nandan County is the hometown of China's non-ferrous metals, the hometown of longhorn chili peppers, the hometown of Yao chicken, the hometown of yellow wax plums, and tobacco production base. The total area is 3,916 square kilometers. As of the end of 2022, the resident population of Nandan County was 274,500 people. In October 2017, it was named a national garden county by the Ministry of Housing and Construction. in March 2019, it was selected as one of the first batch of counties in the area of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization area. on September 20, 2019, it was awarded the honorary title of national model greening unit. on December 31, 2019, it was selected as a typical county of rural innovation and entrepreneurship in the country. in January 2024, it was selected as the national national demonstration area of national unity and progress.
