Lingshan County, belonging to Guangxi Qinzhou City, located in the south of Guangxi, northeast of Qinzhou City, near the Gulf of Tonkin, is the Pan-Beibu Gulf Economic Zone sub-center as well as the sub-center of the city of Qinzhou, the county is more than 100 kilometers away from the city of Nanning, Qinzhou City, Beihai City, Fangchenggang City, Yulin City, Guigang City, and the six cities to form a 1 1/2 hour economic circle, 500 kilometers away from Guangzhou City. It is famous as the Hometown of Lychee in China, the Hometown of Dairy Buffalo in China, the Hometown of Snake Raising in China, the Hometown of Famous Tea in China, besides, Lingshan County is also famous as the Hometown of Fruits, the Hometown of Aquatic Products and the Hometown of Fish and Rice. The county has a total area of 3,558 square kilometers, with 389 village committees and 20 communities in 17 towns and two street offices. As of the end of 2022, the resident population of Lingshan County was 1,222,700 people.In 2022, the GDP of Lingshan County was 36.144 billion yuan, an increase of 9.0% year-on-year. Lingshan County is located on the shore of Qinzhou Bay in the south of Guangxi, in the upper reaches of the Qin River, the northeast of Qinzhou City, the core industrial city on the coast of Guangxi's Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, with Hengzhou City in Nanning City in the north, Hepu County in Beihai City in the south, Pubei County in the east, and Qinnan and Qinbei districts in the west. Lingshan County has a long history, and was first set up as Nan Lingshan County has a long history. It was first established as Nanbin County in the 18th year of Kaihuang of the Sui Dynasty (598 AD), and then renamed Lingshan County in the 10th year of Zhenyuan of the Tang Dynasty (794 AD). Originally belonging to Guangdong Province, it was transferred to Guangxi in 1965 and now belongs to Qinzhou City. The size of the city has stepped into the ranks of medium-sized cities. In October 2017, it was named a national garden county by the Ministry of Housing and Construction. In November 2019, it was selected as one of the second batch of counties (districts) to reach the standard of water-saving social construction.
