Park Overview
The Qinzhou Port Economic and Technological Development Zone is located on the southern coast of Qinzhou City, Guangxi. Covering an area of approximately 152 square kilometers, the zone is primarily planned to include a petrochemical industrial park, a comprehensive logistics and processing zone, an administrative and business center, and a port terminal operations area. It houses the Qinzhou Bonded Port Area, currently the only bonded port area on China’s western coast. In June 1996, with the approval of the Guangxi Regional Government, it was established as a provincial-level development zone; In November 2010, with the approval of the State Council, it was upgraded to a national-level development zone. The zone focuses on developing industries such as petrochemicals, equipment manufacturing, modern logistics, energy, pulp and paper deep processing, and grain and oil processing.
It boasts a unique geographical advantage. The development zone is strategically located at the northern tip of the Beibu Gulf, facing Southeast Asia and backed by the Greater Southwest. It serves as the closest seaport for the Southwest region and is the forefront of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area.
Transportation is convenient. The development zone has established a comprehensive transportation network integrating sea, land, and air routes. More than 20 major transportation corridors—including the North-South, Qinzhou-Beihai, Liuzhou-Qinzhou, and Chongzuo-Qinzhou expressways, high-speed rail lines, high-grade highways, and major maritime and air routes—converge in Qinzhou. It is located just 110 kilometers from Nanning and Beihai airports, is integrated into the “half-hour” economic circle of the Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, and serves as a key maritime and land transportation hub for Guangxi’s coastal region.
