Zhaoping County, belonging to Hezhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, is located in the eastern part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the middle reaches of the Gui River, between latitude 23°39′~24°24′ north and longitude 110°34′~111°19′ east. The county covers an area of 3273 square kilometers. Zhaoping County is located in the southern subtropical climate zone and has a subtropical monsoon humid climate. Zhaoping, in ancient times, was the land of Baiyue. At the beginning of the Republic of China, Zhaoping County belonged to Guilin Road of Guangxi Province. Zhaoping County is 128 kilometers away from Hezhou City, 200 kilometers away from Wuzhou City and 210 kilometers away from Guilin City. The waterway transportation is convenient, and the Gui River runs through the whole territory from north to south.On October 22, 2018, Zhaoping County was selected as the 2018 National Pilot Zone Creation List of Integrated Development of Rural One, Two, Three Industries.On November 14, 2019, Zhaoping County was named as the third batch of National Ecological Civilization Construction Demonstration Counties by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.On May 9, 2020, it was approved by the People's Government of Guangxi Autonomous Region to withdraw from the sequence of poverty-stricken counties. The county has attractions such as Huangyao Ancient Town and Qichong Primitive Forest.
