Jinwan District (金湾区), a district of Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, is located in the southwestern part of the city of Zhuhai, on the coast of the South China Sea between Mordor Gate and Yamen, the mouth of the Pearl River. As of 2019, Jinwan District has four towns (Hongqi, Sanzao, Pingsha, and Nanshui) and two industrial zones (Liangang Industrial Zone and Aviation Industrial Park), with an area of 571 square kilometers. According to the seventh population census data, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Jinwan District was 446,369 people.
Jinwan District is one of the three major administrative districts in Zhuhai, an administrative district officially approved by the State Council on April 4, 2001. There are 254 enterprises of scale or above within the district, focusing on the development of aviation, biomedicine, new energy, modern services and other industries, and there are tourist attractions in the district such as Golden Beach, Fei Sand Beach, Hobo Island, Amazon Tribe, Haiquan Bay, Wulinyuan, and Shiyiyiwangyuan.
In 2020, Jinwan District will complete the gross regional product of 70.040 billion yuan, an increase of 2.9%, complete fixed asset investment of 54.884 billion yuan, an increase of 29.1%, complete the total industrial output value above scale of 182.645 billion yuan, the value added above scale of 43.845 billion yuan, the general public budget revenue of 3.885 billion yuan, and the total retail sales of consumer goods of 4.604 billion yuan.
