Yangshan County, belonging to Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province, is located in northwestern Guangdong Province, central Qingyuan, the southern foot of the Nanling Mountain Range, the middle reaches of the Lianjiang River, and is situated in the longitude of 112°22'01'~113°01'06' East, latitude of 23°58'47'~24°55'52' North, and is one of the 21 key counties for poverty alleviation and development in Guangdong Province. It is one of the 21 key counties in Guangdong Province for poverty alleviation and development. During the Warring States period, there was Yangyu State in the territory, Yangshan Pass was set up at the end of Qin Dynasty, and Yangshan County was set up at the time of Gaozu of the Western Han Dynasty, which has a history of more than 2,200 years so far. Yangshan County has a total area of 3,330 square kilometers, with 12 towns and one Yao ethnic township under its jurisdiction. As of the end of 2022, Yangshan County had a household population of 579,300 people.
