Huidong County, belonging to Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, is located in the southeast of Guangdong Province and the east of Huizhou City, on the south side of the Tropic of Cancer, east of Haifeng County, Shanwei City, north of Zijin County, Heyuan City, west of Huiyang District, and south of the South China Sea's Daya Bay and Honghai Bay. It is a coastal and mountainous county, and Xizhi River, a tributary of Dongjiang River, flows through the county from northeast to southwest.
