Lijia Town is located in the northern part of the main city of Chongqing, 15 kilometers away from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport in the east, 13 kilometers away from the main city in the south, 18 kilometers away from Beibei District, and close to the Jialing River in the northwest, with a riverbank line of 11.5 kilometers. Its territory is rich in sand and gravel resources. Lijia Town was founded in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty and was originally named Lijia Field, which was renamed Lijia because it was subordinate to Lili of Jiangbei Hall of Chongqing Municipality and bordered on the Jialing River.
