Qingyang County, belonging to Chizhou City, Anhui Province, is located in the south of Anhui Province, on the south bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, between latitude 30°19′-30°51′N and longitude 117°41′-118°05′E, with a total area of 1,196 square kilometers. It belongs to the subtropical monsoon humid climate zone, with four distinct seasons and abundant rainfall. As of the end of 2022, Qingyang County has a total of 10 towns and 3 townships under its jurisdiction (of which Jiuhua Township and Jiuhua Township are administered by the Administrative Committee of Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area); in 2023, the resident population of Qingyang County was 227,800.
In the second year of Yuanfeng (109 years ago), Lingyang County was first established in the territory. In the first year of Tianbao of Tang Dynasty (742), Qingyang County was set up by analyzing part of Nanling, Qiupu and Jing County, which means "the sun of the green mountain". Qingyang County has convenient transportation, the urban area is only 20 kilometers away from Jiuhuashan Airport, Yanjiang Expressway, National Highway 318 crosses the east and west, Beijing-Taiwan Expressway, Provincial Highway 103 runs through the north and south, and the water transportation of Tongbu Harbor is directly connected to the Yangtze River deep-water port. Qingyang County has been selected as one of the "2020 National Advanced Counties for Village Cleaning Action", "2021 National Top 100 Counties for Comprehensive Strength of County Tourism", "Four Good Rural Roads" National Demonstration County List, and the first batch of "Four Good Rural Roads" National Demonstration County List. The main attractions in the area include Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area, Jiu Zi Yan, Qingyuan Mountain Scenic Area and Jiuhua Mountain Great Wish Cultural Park.
In 2022, Qingyang County realized a gross domestic product of 1,749,437,000 yuan, an increase of 5.7% compared with the previous year according to comparable prices. In terms of sub-industries, the added value of the primary industry was 1,490,470,000 yuan, an increase of 4.2%; the added value of the secondary industry was 742,950,000 yuan, an increase of 8.0%; and the added value of the tertiary industry was 8,574,330,000 yuan, an increase of 4.0%. Calculated on the basis of resident population, the per capita GDP was 76,195 yuan, and the ratio of the three industries was 8.5:42.5:49.0.
