Bengshan District, located in Bengbu City, Anhui Province, is the political, economic, cultural and commercial center of Bengbu City, the birthplace of commerce. It is adjacent to Longzi Lake in the east and Longzi Lake District; Zhanggong Lake in the west and Yuhui District; facing the Huaihe River in the north and Huashang District across the river, and adjacent to Fengyang County in the south. The total area is 83.08 square kilometers.
Bengshan District, named after the territory of Bengshan (also known as Xiaonanshan). In 36 years of the Republic of China, Bengbu was set up as a city, with 5 districts, namely Dong'an, Guoqing, Zhongshan, Xishi and Xiaobengbu. 1951, Zhongshan District was renamed Zhongshu District. 2004, Zhongshu District was renamed Bengshan District.
In 2022, the gross regional product of Bengshan District was 24.62 billion yuan, an increase of 1.6%. Among them, the added value of primary industry is 200 million yuan, the added value of secondary industry is 3.04 billion yuan; the added value of tertiary industry is 21.37 billion yuan, an increase of 0.3%. The structure of the three industries is 0.8:12.4:86.8.
